Winning the Game of Prosperity - Recommendations

Given the same information some people succeed some people don't. The reason for this is tied very much into how you think and what you believe. You are living proof of the results you are achieving. If you are not happy with your results maybe just maybe you might consider changing the way you think and what you believe. You have to have a prosperity mindset. As Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad puts it(see book description - this page below), "You need a financial education". For your convenience an extensive library of resource links are on page " stock resources."

Getting a financial education is more about seeing opportunities and being open to the possibilities, it is more than learning 'how to'. It is a matter of taking personal responsibility and learning how to take control of your life. As Raymond Aaron puts it "Most people spend more money putting stuff on their head than in it".

Below is a list of basic must-reads for your own general personal growth. I have included these books as basic primers to achieving success. Most of us have one or two limiting beliefs and coping strategies that limit our ability to create what we want.

An elephant when it is small is teathered by a stout chain to a post. Over time this chain is replaced until finally a filmsy rope serves the same purpose. Just like the elephant we are imprisioned by our own limiting beliefs we had while we were growing up.

Powerlessness or unworthyness are only two examples of forces that come into play to keep us from succeeding whenever we seek a vision. (For a more thorough discussion see the section on personal mastery in the book The Fifth Discipline : The Art and Practice of the Learning organization.)

Within the site there are link references in the areas of Stock Investment, Mutual Funds the Internet, Financial Investment and Real Estate Investment which I will build on as time permits. On the above banner the symbol to the right represents the cash flow quandrant, where you are in this quandrant determines where you should be if you wish to be wealthy. The banner takes you to the Rich Dad Site. There is a description of the book "Cash-flow quandrant" below - the link takes you to Amazon.com. Check both out!

  Think and Grow Rich
by Napoleon Hill
This is the grand daddy of all prosperity thinking. Inspired by Dale Carnegie, the steel magnate, he interviewed the most successful people of his day including Mahatma Gandi, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and hundreds of world leaders. "Its a book you have to read 100 times just to read it once." - Mark Victor Hansen (co-author of Chicken Soup of the Soul Series).

Rich Dad - Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
As Richard says on the book's back cover, "The main reason people struggle financially is that they spend years in school but learned nothing about money." The book is a true story about him growing up with two fathers; his poor dad - a highly respected university professor and his rich dad - his friend's father who taught him through a series of lessons as he was growing up how to think and grow rich. An easy read and good lead into his other book Cash-Flow Quandrant.

  Cash-Flow Quandrant by Robert Kiyosaki
This book identifies which of the main four quandrants you are in now and where you have to be in order to choose your own path to financial freedom. In it he outlines the 7 steps to "finding the financial fast track". Highly recommended.

The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey
At times I find Stephen's book a little challenging as he is a deep thinker. Nevertheless, it is worth the effort to read. Stephen's book is all about taking personal responsibility for yourself. He gives you an holistic principle centered approach to solving business and personal problems.

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra
As time goes on even wall street is beginning to realize the law of cause and effect particularily after Sept.11. It is a much bigger world than the world of dollars and 'sense'. The concept that success is the result of hard work, exacting plans and driving ambition is shattered by this book. We are all governed by the 7 spiritual laws of success in our day to day dealings, its about time we became consious of their cause and effect.

The Key and the Name of the Key is Willingness by Cheri Huber
Anything by Cheri is recommended, a remarkable lady, down to earth, witty and practical, she's cuts through all the illusions and brings you back to life. A world wide known "Zen Practicioner" as she prefers to be called. The spiritual and the emotional is a big part of us that we tend to suppress in the western world - it really is about removing the filters from our own minds and seeing the world for what it is as well as for what it is not. It is really the same thing, but Cheri has a way of putting it that cuts through all the verbage and brings it home to where everyone can understand. No obscure references to the sound of one hand clapping here.
